Installing slatwall panels is a relatively simple project with the right tools. The right tools for installing slatwall are – level, stud-finder, and cordless drill / screwdriver. Slatwall weighs between 75 and 95 pounds depending on whether or not it comes with the aluminum inserts and the number of slats. So, we highly recommend having 2 people install it. In our experience, using local handymen is helpful when installing slatwall panels.
Installing perimeter / wall systems including wall standards is also a relatively simple project with the rights tools. The right tools for installing wall systems include level, stud-finder, and cordless drill / screwdriver. These systems are not very heavy but are bulky so we also recommend installing with two people. In our experience, using local handymen is helpful when installing wall systems.
DISPLAYARAMA offers customizable and configurable displays and fixtures for your store at affordable prices. In general, custom displays that serve a similar purpose to our displays will be 5-10x more in price.
For most retailers, we recommend focusing on and investing in paint color(s), flooring, signage, and accessories to give your store a unique look and feel. But, you may still be interested in custom retail displays and fixtures. We are able to provide guidance on custom displays and fixtures and have shipped to you.
Our display cases come in 2 styles. Each style is a different size. The full vision display cases come in 48” x 18” x 38”, 70” x 18” x 38”, and 48” x 18” x 78”. The extra vision display cases come in 48” x 20” x 38”, 70” x 20” x 38”, and 48” x 20” x 72”.
Extra vision display cases come with LED lights across the top, mirrored doors, and a plunger lock. We also have LED lights that go on 2 sides, 3 sides, or all around the frame. Please call to ask us about this custom lighting for your display cases.
Custom LED lighting for display cases is typically done with 6,000K LED lighting that will be ready to be stuck with adhesive on the inside of any display case or wall display case. If you want LED lighting on the left and right side – no problem. If you want it on the left, right, and top – also no problem. If you want lighting all around the frame – this is no problem too. We can also do the same style of lighting using RGB lights that will change colors. Please call us about custom lighting to add in any display or wall case.
In any given display case, it is recommended to use good judgement. We have seen people in all sort of industries display products in our display cases. From guns, to hardware, sports cards, paint supplies, gaming stores, tobacco shops, clothing stores, jewelry stores, pawn shops, and the many other niches we work with – we have not gotten phone calls back about a shelf breaking due to weight.
It will take roughly 45-90 minutes to assemble each display case. The reason for the variance is because the first display case typically takes the longest to assemble because of the learning curve doing it. As you assemble more display cases, you will be able to do it faster.
When you are assembling display cases or wall cases, we recommend the following tools: screwdriver, rubber mallet, razor blade, and scissors.
When display cases arrive at your business or home, the truck driver will use the lift gate to lower them to the floor. The driver will then bring the pallet up to the front door of the store or your garage door. You will notice that the pallet is protected in wood on all sides with straps covering it too. The straps will need to be cut, then the wood will be unscrewed on one side. From here, you can pull the boxes out one at a time. Some of the boxes will be a little heavy, so it’s recommended to have one person on-site to help bring them inside.
Yes, we ship them assembled anywhere in the country! The cost of shipping is higher and there is an assembly fee. The reason for this is because it takes our warehouse team time to assemble each display case. It then needs to be carefully palletized, protected with foam, and crated. Assembled display cases take up more space on a truck than unassembled ones, so the volume density of the shipment will be higher which drives the cost of transportation up.
Yes, they can be customized. The most common customization is to add LED lighting around the entire frame, wrap the sides or bottom kickplate in vinyl logos/designs, powder coating the frame, or adding drawers below the display case. Any type of customization is an additional service. Please call if you’d like to explore customization for our display cases!
We carry glass shelves that will extend from the front glass to the back standards so you can maximize your display space per square foot on the inside of each display case. We also have the brackets that support this shelving.
Yes, you will carefully need to drill thru the side frame or top frame to attach hinges with a swinging door. Some people like to add doors that open vertically, while others like the two way hinge.
Yes, we have cash wrap counters with flat tops. If you don’t see this on our website, please call us to ask about them. We can also custom build checkout counters that have a logo, are ADA compliant, are on wheels, have locking drawers, and have storage space on the back side. These will be delivered to you fully assembled. Please call to discuss custom checkout counters!
We sell display cases and checkout counters independently so you have the flexibility to move them around for your layout.
We have black displays, white displays, maple displays, and cherry displays. Other colors can be chosen on www.formica.com and can be leverage in a custom display case design.
Yes, all of our showcases come with either a plunger lock or ratchet lock unless specified otherwise.
It’s the small details that you wouldn’t see, until your display cases start falling apart. The screws that hold our standards (the bars going vertical that hold the shelves in place) are longer than our competitors which allows you to hold more weight on each shelf without the screw being stripped, and your inventory falling down. Our display case doors are on a track that has rolling wheels on the bottom of it, so doors can easily be opened and closed without jamming up. Our display cases are packaged in a way that allows them to be delivered without glass breaking or scratches on the glass since we use Styrofoam and paper on the inside. During the manufacturing process, our display cases are cleaned prior to being packaged which means the small pieces of metal debris are removed, so they will not get stuck in a package and slide around with the glass. We also include locks with all of our display cases because it’s the right thing to do.
The easiest way to remember what an Extra Vision Display Case is to think of “Extra Visibility” into the display because there is glass on the left side, right side, top, and bottom.
A full vision display case has glass on the top and front, while it has solid panels on the left and right sides. The bottom kickplate is also slightly taller.
Corners are used either on the customer facing side or the employee facing side depending on the layout of your displays. On the customer facing side, a corner is used for displaying products. On the employee facing side, a corner is used as storage space.
The most common layouts we see display cases utilized in stores is either in an “L” shape, “U” shape, kiosk square shape, or in a straight line.
The standard height of display cases is 38” tall, while wall display cases range from 72” to 78” tall.
If your displays break during shipping, we will replace them at no cost. In order to do this, we will need you to take photos of the damage, sign the delivery receipt as damaged, and send us photos of this. We will use this information to file a freight claim on our end. Right when we receive these photos from you, we will send you the replacement(s).
