HOBBY SHOP DISPLAYS & FIXTURES
A hobby shop carries thousands of items, from model kits, paints and miniatures to RC cars, model trains, puzzles and board games. Some of it is small and easy to lose track of, and some of it is high-value and needs to be locked up. DISPLAYARAMA supplies the display cases, slatwall panels, gondola shelving and checkout counters hobby shops use to handle both.
Lock painted miniatures, built models, RC vehicles and collectibles in glass display cases. Hang paints, brushes, tools and blister packs on slatwall. Line gondola aisles with kits, board games and puzzles. Everything is in stock, ships crated to all 50 states and the Caribbean, and qualifies for bulk pricing.

Got Questions?
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know about outfitting a hobby shop with DISPLAYARAMA fixtures.
What fixtures do I need to open a hobby shop?
Most hobby shops use four main fixtures: locked glass display cases for built models, painted miniatures, RC vehicles and high-value kits; slatwall panels with hooks and shelves for paints, brushes, tools and blister-packed parts; gondola shelving for model kits, board games, puzzles and craft supplies; and a checkout counter. Call 1-800-292-5227 and we can help you plan the right mix for your floor space.
Do you offer free store layouts for hobby shops?
Yes. DISPLAYARAMA offers free 2D and 3D store layouts. Send us your floor dimensions and we will map out where your display cases, slatwall, gondola runs and checkout counter should go so you can see the store before you order.
How should I organize a hobby shop with so many small items?
Group products by hobby, such as models, RC, model trains, tabletop gaming and crafts, so customers can find their section quickly. Put small items like paints, brushes and tools on slatwall hooks and shelves, run boxed kits, board games and puzzles down gondola aisles, and keep high-value items and finished display builds in locked display cases near the checkout counter.
Are your display cases secure enough for high-value kits and collectibles?
Yes. Every Full Vision and Extra Vision display case ships with a plunger or ratchet lock and two keys as standard, and our wall display cases have built-in locks. Your rare kits, collectible figures and RC vehicles stay fully visible while staying protected from theft.
What is the difference between Full Vision and Extra Vision display cases?
Full Vision display cases have a glass front and top with solid sides. Extra Vision display cases have glass on the front, top and sides for maximum visibility from every angle, which makes them a popular choice for showing off painted miniatures, built models and RC vehicles.
Do your display cases come with lighting?
Extra Vision display cases come standard with LED lights across the top and mirrored doors. We also offer custom 6,000K white LED lighting, which shows the true colors and paint detail on finished models and miniatures, plus RGB color-changing lights.
What slatwall accessories work best for a hobby shop?
Hooks are ideal for paint sets, brushes, tools and blister-packed parts. Glass, acrylic and wood shelves hold paint pots and boxed kits, baskets keep small parts and accessories organized, and faceouts work for hanging packaged items. All of our slatwall accessories fit any standard MDF slatwall panel.
How much weight can slatwall panels hold?
Slatwall panels hold about 30 lbs per groove without aluminum inserts and up to 100 lbs per groove with aluminum inserts. If you plan to hang or shelve heavier items like boxed kits, RC vehicles or model train sets, we recommend panels with aluminum inserts.
Is gondola shelving a good fit for a hobby shop?
Yes. Double sided gondola shelving creates center aisles for model kits, board games and puzzles, while gondola wall shelving lines the perimeter. The shelves are adjustable to fit boxes of different sizes, and slatwall backed gondola shelving lets you hang paints and accessories on the same unit.
Do you offer bulk discounts for hobby shops?
Yes. Bulk pricing starts at 4 or more display cases, 10 or more slatwall panels, or 4 or more gondola sections. Call 1-800-292-5227 or fill out our bulk pricing form to get a quote.
Can display cases be delivered pre-assembled?
Yes. For an additional fee we assemble every unit, palletize and crate it, and ship it ready to use. Shipping costs more, but it saves significant setup time before your store opens.
Where do you ship, and what if something arrives damaged?
We ship anywhere in the US and the Caribbean Islands, with free scheduled delivery appointments and a free protective crate on every order. If anything arrives damaged, photograph it, note it on the delivery receipt and send us the photos. We file the freight claim and replace it at no cost to you.
